Black Panther II

Production on the highly-anticipated sequel to Marvel’s hit “Black Panther” is set to begin in July 2021.

According to Fox News, the superhero blockbuster was originally slated to begin shooting in March 2021, but the tragic death of the franchise’s star, Chadwick Boseman, delayed plans as the cast and crew took time to deal with their grief.

Multiple sources also confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that filming will start next summer in Atlanta and is expected to run for 6 months with Ryan Coogler back as director.

Cast members Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett are reportedly all set to reprise their roles, and Netflix’s “Narcos” star Tenoch Huerta is reportedly in talks to play the movie’s new villain.

The film is still expected to be released in May of 2022.
