New Jersey rapper Tripple Beanz, born Corey Thompson, was gunned down as he got into his car. The killing was caught on surveillance cameras and show the assailants firing multiple gunshots at Thompson as he rolled on the ground.
DFG Recording Studio, where Thompson made music, posted a message on Instagram remembering Thompson.
“So lost for words… Our hearts are hurting bad here at DFG Beanz man. A superstar in the making and more importantly family here. Genuinely was tryna change his life around. This was a man who WORKED and had SO MUCH TALENT This whole thing is so fucked. Tripple Beanz, we love you man and your legacy will forever live on through us and your music,” the recording studio wrote in a caption posted on Instagram.
In Thompson’s last post on Instagram, he can be seen lip-synching his new single, “Brand New 40,” in which he raps about buying a new gun from the store.
The Newark rapper, who started his music career at the age of 13, has opened up for rappers Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Jadakiss, and Money Bag Yo. In July, Thompson released “Let’s Get It,” featuring Fetty Wap. According to the Daily Mail, At the time of his death, Thompson was working on a Nipsey Hussle-inspired project called ‘Hustle & Motivate.”
