Donald Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani has tested positive for COVID-19, amid nationwide travel to promote claims of voter fraud within the 2020 presidential election.
In a tweet posted on his account, Trump made the announcement.
“.@RudyGiuliani, by far the greatest mayor in the history of NYC, and who has been working tirelessly exposing the most corrupt election (by far!) in the history of the USA, has tested positive for the China Virus. Get better soon Rudy, we will carry on!!!” Trump tweeted.

Giuliani becomes the latest person in Trump’s inner circle to contract the deadly virus. In previous weeks, campaign aide Boris Epshteyn, Donald Trump Jr., Andrew Giuliani, Giuliani’s son, Melania Trump, and Donald Trump Sr. himself have all contracted COVID-19.
Before being diagnosed with the coronavirus, Giuliani has spent weeks post-election traveling across America with claims that the 2020 presidential race was corrupt, millions of illegal votes were allowed to be cast, and that GOP election watchers were purposely denied the opportunity to watch the vote-counting process.
Those and many other legal challenges brought by the former New York City mayor and Trump have mostly been dismissed due to lack of evidence to support their claims.
Giuliani was previously seen on Wednesday not wearing a mask before attending a Michigan House panel. Afterward, he traveled to Atlanta and participated in a Georgia state Senate hearing on election integrity.
