A 12-year-old Memphis, Tennessee boy shot a 13-year-old in a dispute over a video game. An 18-year-old was charged in connection to the shooting for leaving his gun out.
On Sunday, police were called to Shadowbrook Townhouses; according to WREG, officers discovered the teen with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.Â
Officers questioned Keshun Tuggle and the 12-year-old at the scene. Tuggle told authorities the boy was shot during a drive-by, but his story did not match the 12-year-old’s account of events.Â
The boy was able to tell investigators that he was playing video games with the 12-year-old when the boy became angry and picked up a gun and shot him one time. The weapon turned out to be Tuggle’s.
Tuggle is facing charges of providing a handgun to a juvenile, contributing to the delinquency of a child, and tampering with or fabricating evidence after. While speaking with officers, he admitted to dumping the gun and altered the crime scene.
