Ballers are getting creative with the ways they’re making money aside from sports. Long gone are the days of starting clothing lines and endorsing liquor. It’s time to think outside the box and that’s what Mike Vick is doing with his new line of wave brushes. Yes, WAVE BRUSHES!
Mike Vick now owns 40% of WaveMasterz brush company and since then, their product is apparently selling like crazy. Last year they only sold about 3,000 brushes but this holiday season alone the company has shipped 500,000 brushes to keep up with demand. “I love the WaveMasterz brush, it’s why I wanted to do more than endorse the brush, but be a part of this company. Now, we have to make sure the production keeps up with the demand because the response, even as we launch has been amazing,” Vick says.
Before I go any further, let me tell you how great of an idea I think this is. Where I come from, men take pride in their waves about as much as women take pride in the hair flowing down to their backs or their edges being in tact. 360 waves are truly a big deal. With the number of beauty supply stores there are in the country, it’s almost a win/win for a business such as this. Beats dropping your own line of sneakers and competing with the likes of Nike.
WaveMasterz calls it’s brushes “The Brush for Bachelors & Ballers” and comes in 5 styles, including a brush hand-autographed by Vick.
Bow Wow is also a part of this company, owning 10%.
