Rapper Casanova is using his social media to send out distress signals to his fans, asking for help to get out of the current legal woes that could end with him spending decades in federal prison.
Casanova’s team posted a P.S.A. to his Instagram, begging for help with his case.
“This is a public service announcement to all my fans and very important friends,” the message began. “I’ve been incarcerated for almost one year now, exhausted all remedies, and spent a significant amount of money on legal fees to prove my innocence. The charges against me are false; they don’t represent or reflect the person that I am.”
The Brooklyn rapper has been in jail since his December 2020 arrest on multiple federal charges.
The U.S. Department of Justice claims that Casanova, born Caswell Senior, is an undisputed leader of the “Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation” gang that is allegedly responsible for many violent crimes in New York City and Upstate NY.
Casanova called out “all the great people with meaningful and powerful voices to help.”
“If there’s anything you can do to help, whether if it’s contacting my legal attorney to see that I played NO role in this case or having a private investigator look into the actual role and not the alleged accusations against me. Any help provided will be a blessing because I feel defeated one’s past shouldn’t be the reason why you can’t be afforded a successful future,” his plea continued.
