Tristan Thompson and Maralee Nichols’ Son Name Revealed

It’s been two months since Maralee Nichols gave birth to Tristan Thompson’s third baby, and up until now, the baby boy’s name remained a mystery. 

E! News obtained a birth certificate revealing the baby’s name to be Theo Thompson. According to the birth certificate, baby Theo was born on Dec. 1 in Santa Monica, California. While it lists Nichols as the mother, it does not list Thompson as the father. 

Co-parenting has been contentious between the two since the baby’s arrival. A rep for Nichols previously issued a statement saying that Thompson has not met his son or provided any financial support. 

“Despite news reports stating otherwise, Tristan Thompson has done nothing to support their son,” the rep said in a statement. “He has not made any attempt to meet their son, nor has he provided any financial assistance.”

According to Nichols, the baby was conceived over Thompson’s birthday weekend in March. At the time, the NBA star was still dating Khloe Kardashian. 

Thompson initially denied fathering the baby, but he admitted to being the father on Instagram last month. In the same post, he publicly apologized to his ex, Kardashian.

“I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son,” he wrote. “I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal, both publicly and privately.”

He went on to explicitly name Kardashian, writing, “Khloe, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you.”

Thompson is also father to 3-year-old True, whom he shares with Kardashian, and 5-year-old Prince, with Jordan Craig.
