YNW Melly has been plagued with legal trouble since his February 2019 arrest for murder. However, his mother has revealed her son will be home in May of this year.
YNW Melly’s mother Jamie King & brother YNW BSlime appeared on the @WeInMiamiPodcast days ago, where they gave eager fans an update regarding how the “Mixed Personalities” rapper is holding up behind bars.
“He’s doing good. He’s always in great spirit,” King shared. When host Slim Stunta asked when the rapper would be released, King replied that May would be the month he’d be set free. BSlime chimed in and revealed that it could be a month earlier if things go in their favor.
“She says May, but if they pick a jury fast, he could be home late April,” BSlime stated.
King says she is looking forward to preparing a home-cooked meal for Melly upon his release.
Melly is facing two counts of first-degree murder for allegedly killing his two friends, YNW Juvy, aka 19-year-old Christopher Thomas Jr., and YNW Sakchaser, aka 21-year-old Anthony Williams. YNW Melly has maintained his innocence.
