A man in Texas has been charged with sexual assault of a child — and authorities allege he specifically targeted single moms on dating apps, so he could gain their trust to get access to their children.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office alleged that 42-year-old Epifanio Adolfo Jimenez, who went by “Harley” on dating sites, targeted women with children. While authorities did not name the dating sites, they reveal that he had been doing this for some time.
Cops first learned of Jimenez after a 17-year-old girl came forward and alleged that he sexually assaulted her when she was 13.
Authorities confirmed that the girl was the daughter of Jimenez’s ex-girlfriend, who initially reported her assault to school counselors — and later police. The victim claimed Jimenez was drunk when he pinned her to a bed and raped her.
Police also revealed that Jimenez corroborated much of the girl’s account but refuted the sexual assault.
During their investigation into the sexual assault claim, Jimenez allegedly admitted to using the dating apps to target single moms and gave information that led investigators to believe Jimenez may have several victims.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have met with him or allowed him to have contact with their children to call the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 936-760-5800, and reference case number 22A067965.
