It be ya own people.
Thanks to a tip from his mother, a man who robbed a convenience store in Metro Atlanta and got away with over $8,000 worth of Georgia lottery tickets was apprehended in a motel, police said.
According to FOX affiliate WAGA, Michael Coxton, 37, was arrested after his mother watched a local television report that said he had warrants out for his arrest.
The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office said security footage from a Newnan, Georgia, convenience store allegedly shows Coxton stealing a large box of Georgia Lottery tickets in a stock room.
When the tickets were stolen, investigators said they were practically worthless and unusable because they had just arrived at the store and hadn’t been scanned. If scanned and playable, the tickets would be worth approximately $8,700.
Coxton faces second-degree burglary charges and attempting to defraud or pass stolen lottery tickets. His bond was set at $5,000.
