The husband of one of the teachers killed earlier this week in the Uvalde, Texas elementary school shooting has died.
Joe Garcia, the husband of Irma Garcia, died Thursday after suffering a heart attack, family members confirmed.
The couple, who reportedly had known each other since eighth grade, were married for 24 years. They leave behind four children.
Mrs. Garcia was one of two teachers killed Tuesday in the Robb Elementary School shooting. She was co-teaching with Eva Mireles, the other teacher killed in the attack when gunman Salvador Ramos entered the school and opened fire on the classroom. Nineteen children were also killed in the massacre.
