A few days ago Ciara took to Twitter to fire shots towards Us Weekly, claiming that they manipulated her interview and that it was all lies tweeting “ I did not do this interview with you! This is a lie, and tasteless! Must you be that thirsty to create a story?! Unbelievable!” and then 3 hours later saying “Be CLEAR @usweekly. I interviewed with your Beauty Editor about Degree & Mtv HOS. U manipulated my words & took the interview for sensation.“. Well, sounds like Ciara shouldn’t have done that because Us Weekly has officially released the audio from the interview.

In spite of [her] claims, Ciara indeed gave an extended interview with an Us reporter at an L.A. event on Tuesday, Aug. 12. During the chat, she spoke at length about her fashion, her fitness routines, her music, her upcoming MTV House of Style episode and being a brand-new mom to baby boy Future Zahir Wilburn, among other topics.
As it happens, Ciara is also newly single. As Us exclusively revealed Wednesday morning, she recently broke up with her infant son’s father, rapper Future, after learning of his infidelity. (The pair had been engaged since October of last year.)
I saw this one coming. I hate when celebs pull the “the media lied on me” line when indeed, they DID do an interview and what they said was INDEED published correctly. The fact is Ciara granted Us Weekly an interview. They did the interview and a day later, something more spicy happens in Ciara’s life and they decided to intertwine both stories. Nowhere in Us Weekly’s post did they fabricate it to make it appear that she was talking about Future. They kept her interview in tact. They only added a few sentences here and there talking about the recent break-up. It’s easy to point the finger but there is always proof and you can hear it below.
