Basketball Wives LA star Draya Michele is in a back and forth with a West Hollywood nightclub over a missed appearance. According to TMZ, a hostess at Penthouse Nightclub said Draya showed up to host, did not like the crowd, made disparaging remarks about gay patrons and left.
Draya denies it. She says she was too sick to attend, that she gave the club owner notice, and that the owner then threatened to bad mouth her in the media. She also rejects the claim about the remarks. On Twitter she said it was established long ago that she loves her gay fans, and she told TMZ she would happily entertain her LGBT fans at a different club on another night.
The club says Draya accepted a $2,500 deposit and that it lost money when guests left after she did not appear. Some of her LGBT fans voiced their disappointment on Instagram, and a few pointed to a post she shared that evening about getting ready to go out.
Both sides have given conflicting accounts, and it is not clear what happened that night. The club owner has reportedly said a lawsuit may follow.
