Season 4 of Braxton Family Values picks up with the sisters in New York for Tamar’s birthday as well as to support Toni & Babyface’s debuting “After Midnight” on Broadway. They also briefly discuss all of the sisters finally doing an “inspirational album”. Will they finally get it together?
It’s the night of Tamar’s birthday dinner and after a long day of rehearsing and a small lupus flare up, Toni is tired and stays home. This bugs Tamar, who believes that whenever someone else is having a function, she goes out of her way to attend. Speaking of attendees, Trina’s husband Gabe comes to Tamar’s dinner. This is news to Tamar who had no idea Trina and Game were back together and had been for a month. Tamar asks people go around the room and say nice things about her. They do, and things are going well, until they get to Tamar’s friend James. James says that Tamar has never changed despite what “others” say about her, a statement Towanda and Trina quickly took as shade. So, they throw subtle shade back which annoys and upsets Tamar even further. It’s safe to assume Towanda and Tamar’s feud continues.
It’s opening night for Toni’s play and she’s nervous. She nails it, of course, so the family goes to dinner afterwords to celebrate. Tamar and Towanda began bickering again when Toni asked what a “Tamartian” was and Towanda responds as “rude little kids on Twitter” which offends Tamar. Towanda reminds Tamar of a time when her “tamartians” said they wished her children were raped and dead. Tamar chooses to defend her fan club over her sister, which upsets Towonda and Trina.
The following night the sisters meet again, where they rehash Tamar’s birthday dinner and Toni’s Broadway dinner from the previous night. Again, Towonda and Tamar begin bickering over James’ comments. Mama Evelyn intervenes and tells the girls to either go get help or leave each other alone. The girls obviously don’t listen and tensions continue to rise at the dinner table. Tamar expresses that she was hurt by the fact that although everyone was going around the table saying nice things about her, Towonda felt the need to combat what James said by being negative. Towonda says James was a stranger who was speaking out of turn and taking shots at her sisters. Toni leaves the table because the negativity is stressing her out and she has two shows to do that night. Tamar soon follows. This upsets Towonda because she feels that Tamar should have stayed and resolve the issues. Traci and Trina beg for their sisters to try and get along. Towonda has a break down at the table finally revealing that she is hurt that no one ever cares about HER feelings. Not a minor break down either…I’m talking glass throwing, yelling and cursing. Obviously hurt that no one pacifies her the way they do the baby, Tamar.
How long do you think Tamar and Towonda’s feud will last? Make sure you catch Braxton Family Values next Thursday 9pm WeTV.
