J. Lo and Ben Affleck are gearing up to say “I do” again! This time the wedding ceremony will expand over an entire weekend, starting on Aug. 19 with the rehearsal dinner and ending with a BBQ and picnic on Sunday, Aug. 21.
As the weekend kicks off, some rumors are true, some are not, but what’s confirmed is her elegant Ralph Lauren wedding dress she will wear at the ceremony and the massive Georgia estate hosting the wedding and housing some A-list celebrities.
The wedding will take place in a Georgia estate that is a whopping 87 acres with a 10,000 square ft guest home. Entertainment Tonight reports the mega-mansion is “surrounded by a deep-water dock, the 6,000-square-foot main house is a recreation of a Greek revival southern mansion. The home was designed by Jim Strickland, founder of Architectural Concepts and a leader in coastal historic design and development.”
In addition to a guest home with three suites and six bunk bedrooms, and there’s a Summer House.
And a quick insight of the home, it’s actually Ben Affleck’s in Riceboro, Georgia! The actor purchased the estate in 2003, leaving some sentimental value. As the three-day “intimate celebration for family and friends” kicks off, the rehearsal dinner will be on Friday, while the big day will be on Saturday.
As for the dress, Ralph Lauren will be designing The Hustlers star gown for the special day, and it looks like altercations for the dress were already made before the announcement of the wedding weekend.
For the Las Vegas wedding, Lopez wore a dress very special to her from a movie the two starred in together in 2004. She said, “I’ve had this dress for so many years, and I’ve just been saving it, saving it, saving it, and now I’m wearing it on my wedding day.”
The couple was spotted shopping with their children in Savannah on Friday, wearing similar tan outfits. One thing is for sure, if the wedding is anything like their relationship, it’s well-deserving.
Congratulations to the special couple, again!
