911 audio, obtained by TMZ, reveals that the shooting of Nappy Roots member Fish Scales may have been an inside job.
Earlier this month, Scales was kidnapped, robbed, and shot outside his Atlantatucky brewery. According to the police documents, Scales was leaving his brewery with a friend, Britt Robinson, when the incident occurred.
Scales felt like Robinson was taking too long outside and decided to check on him. To Scales surprise, a gunman ambushed him and forced him back into the brewery.
Robinson remained outside and called 911. He told the dispatcher that multiple shooters took his gun and house keys before approaching Scales. He claims he saw the suspects talking on the phone, possibly getting hints on where the cash was located.
When the suspects realized the brewery only had about $20-$30 inside, they returned with Scales and demanded more cash. Robinson told the dispatcher that the shooters also knew where Scales lived.
The suspects were adamant about getting inside Scales’ house, and one even tased him in the back of his head.
Eventually, Scales escaped the vehicle and got into a brawl with one of the gunmen, who said, “I don’t want to hurt you.”
During the wrestle, Scales was shot in his leg but still managed to run away. The rapper ran into a nearby house and begged the residents to call the police.
Authorities are still investigating and searching for the gunmen. While the identity of the suspects remains unknown, Scales says he had an unruly employee less than a year ago. Unfortunately, Scales mentions that he does not remember the employee’s name. He also added that one of the suspects attempted to disguise their voice during the robbery.
