Former “Scandal” star Columbus Short decided not to show up to family court yesterday. Clearly he’s still learning about the legal system considering his recent troubles. Leaving a judge no choice but to rule in his estranged wife Tanee Short’s favor.
For those of you not familiar, after eight years of marriage Tanee McCall-Short filed for divorce for the second time earlier this year, after she states Short put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her and himself. She cited irreconcilable differences asked for spousal support and sole custody of their daughter.
According to TMZ, neither Short or his lawyer showed up to court. Therefore the judge ruled Columbus must pay $17,005 a month is spousal support, $4,542 a month in child support, and pay $25,000 to cover Tanee’s legal bills.
Well clearly, Columbus Short has his priorities out of order. I mean what possibly could’ve been more important. Hopefully he can get his act together to be a good father to his daughter.
