According to TMZ and the Associated Press, the man charged in the death of NFL player Adrian Peterson’s two year old son has been arrested again in South Dakota.
Joseph was charged with murder and child abuse in October 2013 in connection with the child’s death in Sioux Falls. He has been free on a $750,000 bond while awaiting an October trial. A judge had ordered him not to contact the child’s mother.
Authorities say police responded to a call early Tuesday morning in Sioux Falls. Prosecutors say Joseph held the child’s mother at her apartment for more than an hour, choked her twice, and left her unconscious at one point. He has been charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, interference with emergency communication, and injury to property.
A judge ordered him held on a $1 million cash only bond. Prosecutors also said he texted the woman within an hour of the hearing despite the no contact order. His attorney waived bond arguments at the hearing.
These are charges, and Joseph is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. Our thoughts are with the family.
