Ballerific Relationships – Just One of the Guys

Are you that girlfriend? You know, the one who wiggles her way into every boys night? You know well in advance that your man has plans and you were even nice enough to make his favorite snacks for the occasion. What he didn’t know, is that you’d be right there eating them along with him and his boys. You think you’re gaining cool points and that they all secretly wish they had girlfriends as cool as you but you’re wrong. They tolerate you and they may even like you, but they don’t want you constantly crashing their sessions. They want to talk their sh*t and do their thing without having to speak in code because you’re around. They want to scratch and sniff (any body part of their choosing, ew) but they can’t because a lady is present. They are dying to share their latest sexploits but they hold off because one of them involved your best friend and she swore him to secrecy. Oop.

It’s okay, girl. Let that man have his time with his guys. Get up and get out of his hair for a while. Put on something he Loves, spray on his favorite perfume and give him a “oh, it’s ON when I get home” kiss before you head out. He’ll enjoy the guys but he’ll be thinking of you and how he can’t wait for you to return so that he can rip off that outfit he Loves. Either that or he will cancel boys night and have you right then and there. Ha. Whether you live together or apart, If you find yourself intruding on the regular or popping up on him whenever he is out, you may want to figure out why that is so. If you feel you have to be right under him in attempt to ensure he isn’t doing dirty then perhaps you need to take a moment to figure things out. Healthy relationships have a balance of quality time and space. Let him miss you, miss.
