DTLR has teamed up with New Balance on a sneaker that shows love to the DMV area with the “Lovers Only” DTLR x New Balance 2002R.
The name is derived from the state of Virginia’s iconic “Virginia is for lovers” slogan, and the colorway is inspired by the accompanying signage.
The shoe is mostly made up of gray and black suede and mesh, with red and blue touches added for some color on an otherwise plain colorway.
The “Lovers Only” is scheduled to hit DTLR’s website this Friday. The shoe will retail for $165.
This is not the first time the two have teamed up. It’s also not the first time they have paid homage to the DMV. The Maryland-based retailer previously linked with New Balance on the “DMV” 990v4 and “D.C.” 992.
