Kodie Shane
“Where is Kodie Shane from?” asked Ferrari.
“Kodie Shane was born in Atlanta and raised in Chicago. I feel like I have a great mix of both cities. I love both dearly,” said Kodie.
What was your claim to fame? asked OCT.
“For me and my career when I first came out, Sad and Drip In My Walk. But for me I’m still like one record away. For three to four years, I was the only girl on the rolling loud set,” said Kodie.
Kodie shared that at the age of 16, she signed to Epic Records under L.A Reid.
“I believe linking with Yachty was something that helped me be more digestible. It helped me fit in,” said Kodie Shane.
“What happened when your deal was up with Epic?” asked Ferrari.
“Um, that was the craziest time in my life, not only because we cut ties. It was great,” said Kodie.
Kodie shared that the producer who helped her put together her first track and who made all of her beats passed away.
“What are some mistakes that you’ve made early on in your career?” asked BT.
“I think not being present in every moment. I was just floating and moving. I wasn’t totally being present and nurturing the relationships I was building,” said Kodie “Other than that, I’m a firm believer that everything should happen as it should.”
“What are you working on now?” asked OCT.
“I just dropped a new EP. It’s like the end of summer, house vibes. I’ve been passionate about wanting to make people dance and have a good time,” said Kodie.
Baller Mail
Dear Baller Alert,
I’m feeling a way about my most recent date. Great man. He’s handsome and attentive. It’s just he picked me up, and the top was off his car because his AC was not working. I’m sweating bullets when we arrived for dinner. now I have an attitude for the whole night because I was hot and my eyelashes were shot. Should I hold this against him?
“Hell no,” said BT.
“Stop expecting things,” said Kodie
“Big dawg, you could’ve at least got an Uber,” said Ferrari.
“He could’ve warned her,” said Kodie.
