Joey Bada$$ has launched Impact MENTorship, a program offering free mentorship for Black men in the US and Puerto Rico.
According to the program’s website, the program will offer mentoring in career and personal matters for all Black men ages 18 and older.
Earlier this week, the rapper and actor took to Instagram to share the exciting news.
“I’m excited to announce that I’ve been silently working on a free mentorship program for men of color in the US & Puerto Rico called @impactmentorship. Inspired by my friend @sophchangnyc & @unlockherpotential,” he wrote in the caption. “I recruited an impressive network of incredible mentors in the areas of ART, CULINARY, FASHION, FILM/TV, MEDIA MUSIC, and SPORTS.”
He added, “Starting with myself, I will be announcing new mentors every day until applications open on the 15th.”
The program has announced mentors, including Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics, fashion designer Tremaine Emory, and 19 Keys.
Mentee applications will become available on October 15.
