Kourtney Kardashian discusses her complicated emotions regarding the former partner of her sister, Khloe Kardashian.
While Khloe has reconciled with Tristan Thompson, her family requires more time to forgive the former NBA player. In the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney shared her perspective on Thompson and explained why her daughter Penelope Disick isn’t particularly fond of him either.
“I feel like she gets it from me,” Kourtney explained. “I told her the first day of school, I was so triggered by him..I know why. But I feel like we all brush it off and are fine. And then I was just so triggered and I was like, ‘I just can’t do it anymore.'”
Kourtney further elaborated on her stance saying, “Tristan has made horrible decisions and choices with my sister. There’s times when I’m so triggered by him I can’t be around him. And then there’s times when I just let it go because we just want harmony and, you know, he’s the father of my niece and nephew.”
Khloe also reflected on her relationship with Thompson and wants her niece to embrace the emotions she has for him.
“I want Penelope to have these feelings and I don’t wanna talk her out of them because I don’t want this behavior to be something that I’m validating or I’m justifying,” Khloe said. “I want her to know that how she feeling is the right way to feel. We should not accept someone treating us like this.”
Throughout season 4, Khloe has been candid about handling her relationship with Thompson in light of his multiple infidelities. In the previous episode, she confided in her best friend, Malika Haqq, expressing her anticipation for the day when she can start a new relationship with someone who won’t make her feel ashamed of his past behavior.
