Just days after the release of his Halloween Havoc IV: The 72nd Hour mixtape, the former G-Unit member is prepping for his next full-length project. Lloyd recently announced his plans for his next mixtape, Cold Corner 3. He posted on X, f/k/a Twitter, that Cold Corner 3 won’t be available on streaming platforms, instead fans will get it directly through him by paying $100.
“It’s all good…CC3 won’t be on streaming sites..only available thru me for $100 then we’ll see if they back the talking up,” Banks tweeted.
It seems Banks is following in the footsteps of Nipsey Hussle, who went the unconventional way too. The late rapper sold his mixtape, Crenshaw, for $100 a copy ten years ago, and made $100,000 in less than 24 hours.
Banks hasn’t disclosed a specific release date for the project, but if it lands by the end of the year, it will be his third full-length project, The Course Of The Inevitable 3: Pieces Of My Pain was released in April, and Halloween Havoc IV: The 72nd Hour was released this week.
The third installment of Banks’ Cold Corner mixtape series follows a 2011 release of part two and a 2009 first-part release.
