A Florida woman recently came home to an unusual surprise.
In early December, Amanda Brochu, a resident of Orange County, listed her house for sale and took steps to enhance its appeal, including replacing the roof and addressing minor repairs. Shortly thereafter, her son informed her that numerous individuals had visited the property to measure the driveway. Brochu mentioned that her son observed the presence of five contractors over the span of a few days.
Upon realizing Andre’s questionable assertions regarding being the landlord, the contractor grew skeptical and insisted on proof of ownership before commencing the job. However, since that request, there has been no further communication from Andre. The following week brought the startling discovery that Brochu’s entire driveway had vanished.
Nevertheless, law enforcement deputies initiated a criminal mischief investigation into the incident. When they contacted Andre again, he denied any involvement and abruptly ended the call. Meanwhile, Brochu finds herself in the midst of a property transaction, as she is under contract to acquire a nearby residence. Her intention was to utilize the proceeds from the sale of her current home for the down payment on the new property.
