Tyler Perry just keeps blessing others. In his latest act of kindness, the filmmaker extended a generous offer of $400,000 to fellow actress Cocoa Brown after she and her son lost their home to a fire.
Brown spoke exclusively to @TMZ_TV and thanked all for the outpouring of support she has received. The actress, who is known for her roles in “For Better or Worse” and other projects also received loved from celebrities like Tiffany Haddish, Marlon Wayans, Sherri Shepherd, and “The Breakfast Club” podcast team. As well as donations from her friends, family, and fans, Hollywood Unlocked reported.
Cocoa’s Fayetteville, Georgia, home went up in flames. It was reported that the fire was caused by a lit candle falling into some clothes in the house. Brown said she was able to find comfort in the love and support of her community, emphasizing the strength and unity that emerged from the tragedy.
She told the outlet, “having each other, our fur babies, and seeing and feeling all this love has strengthened our love for each other and humanity,”
adding that the bond has deepened between her family and humanity as a whole.
The GoFundMe account has surpassed her initial goal of $50,000 and is reaching $70,000 in donations.
