Sebastian Kidder, Ric Flair’s stepson, tragically took his own life at just 24 years old.
His mother, Wendy Barlow, shared the devastating news with TMZ Sports, expressing the family’s profound sorrow. According to Barlow, her son died from a gunshot wound in their Georgia home on Saturday, with police now investigating the circumstances surrounding this unimaginable tragedy. Barlow conveyed her shock and grief, highlighting the ongoing epidemic of mental health issues among young men.
“I am devastated and shocked. This is an epidemic with your young men. And mental health,” Barlow shared in a statement.
Details leading to Kidder’s passing remain unclear, leaving a cloud of unanswered questions and sorrow in its wake. Just months before this tragedy, his music career was gaining momentum. He had recently performed on FOX’s Good Day Atlanta, where he shared his excitement about his first album release, “Under The Moon.”
Ric Flair, who married Barlow in 2018 after years of dating, had been a significant figure in Kidder’s life for over a decade. The pair announced they were divorcing in September 2024. Flair has not yet made a public statement regarding this tragic loss. Kidder’s final social media post was shared Saturday, shortly before his death, showing him holding a guitar, though he did not provide a caption.
