Martha Stewart’s Ex-Husband’s Current Wife Claims the Businesswoman Abused Him In Lengthy Facebook Post

In response to Martha Stewart discussing the toxicity of her marriage to Andrew Stewart in her Netflix documentary, his current wife is slamming the home and food entrepreneur.

In an extensive Facebook post shared last month, Shyla Nelson Stewart offered a scathing response to Martha’s portrayal of their marriage, describing it as “painful and abusive.”

“Andy and I have built a life of beauty, meaning, productivity, and purpose, infused with true love. Prior to this happy chapter of his life, Andy had some dark ones, including a painful and abusive marriage to Martha (as in, Martha Stewart), which ended 40 years ago.”

Shyla didn’t detail what abuse he endured. Most of the post took issue with Martha’s ongoing public commentary about their relationship, noting that while Andrew had found love again, Martha seemed to be stuck in the past.

“While Andy quietly moved on and forward with his life, it appears that Martha continues to publicly relitigate the marriage, including comments in a sensationalized trailer for an upcoming documentary on Netflix,” she wrote.

Shyla ended with a message of well-wishing, stating, “Every day, we openly express gratitude for our love and for our life together. We both wish everyone, including Martha herself, the experience of loving and being loved deeply and fully and the peace that comes from such a love.” The post was signed “Shyla & Andy Stewart.”

Shyla’s remarks came shortly after the debut of the trailer for “Martha,” in which the famous homemaker discussed her tumultuous marriage to Andrew, with whom she shares a daughter, Alexis, born in 1965. In the trailer, Martha advises young women, “If you’re married and your husband starts to cheat on you, he’s a piece of s**t.” When asked if she had an affair early in their relationship, she responded, “Yeah, but I don’t think Andy ever knew about that.”

Martha also recounted Andrew’s affair with a former employee, recalling how she had let the woman stay on their property.
