50 Cent wasted no time calling out legal reporter Meghann Cuniff after A$AP Rocky was acquitted in his felony assault trial. The hip-hop mogul reminded Cuniff of a playful comment she left on his Instagram post earlier this month when he confidently bet $500,000 that Rocky would beat the case.
“I got A$AP beating this case I’ll bet 500,000 on it, that boy A$AP Tellie was just trying to get some money,” 50 wrote at the time, mocking the prosecution’s key witness, A$AP Relli. “Fool said I was scared for my life so I went back to the scene and picked up these shells. Officer 👮 told him hey if you want to get some money go to the hospital. Who want the bet!”
Cuniff, known for her courtroom coverage, jokingly replied, “I’ll take that bet.”
Now that Rocky has been acquitted, 50 Cent is holding her to her words. He posted a screenshot of the exchange and tagged Cuniff, writing, “@MeghannCuniff I’m a need my money by Monday.”
Though Cuniff was likely joking, she should have known better—50 Cent has made a habit of publicly demanding money from people, even playfully calling out Young Buck over debt last year.
Following Rocky’s acquittal, 50 celebrated with another post, writing, “Not guilty. I told [ninja emoji]s I would bet 500,000 K he gonna beat it when A$AP Tellie started getting tired of telling 5 days straight. … Now stay sucker free!”
