Ice cream lovers, get ready—Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day is back on Tuesday, April 8! Fans nationwide can stop by any participating scoop shop to grab a free ice cream cone, no purchase necessary.
The best part? While each person can only get one scoop at a time, Ben & Jerry’s encourages fans to hop back in line as many times as they want to keep the freebies coming.
Classic flavors like Cherry Garcia and Half Baked will be available, along with new additions like Dulce De-lish!—a salted caramel ice cream with pecan toffee pieces and caramel swirls—and Turtle Sundae, featuring pretzel swirls and fudge-covered almonds.
Last year, Ben & Jerry’s gave out over 1 million scoops, and they’re aiming to break records again in 2025.
Free Cone Day has been a Ben & Jerry’s tradition since 1979, when co-founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield started it as a way to thank customers for supporting them through their first winter in Vermont.
If you can’t make it to Ben & Jerry’s, Dairy Queen is also celebrating Free Cone Day on March 20, offering a free small vanilla soft serve cone to mark the first day of spring. Plus, DQ Rewards members who sign up by March 19 will be entered for a chance to win Free Cones for a Year.
