Domestic Violence Charges Against 50 Cent Dropped

Queens rapper 50 Cent has one less thing to worry about these days. He won’t be seeing any jail time in regards to his June 2013 domestic violence case because the charges have been dropped.

You may remember a few months ago 50 Cent was arrested for domestic violence after he allegedly came into the condo of model Daphne Joy, kicked her, ransacked her bedroom and then destroyed a bunch of her property including chandeliers, furniture, a TV and a lamp. Daphne Joy is allegedly the mother of one of 50 Cent’s children, although reports say 50’s name is not on the birth certificate.

50 Cent has entered into an agreement with the Los Angeles City Attorney to resolve the charges against him. In the agreement 50 was to plead no contest to a single count of misdemeanor vandalism; which deals with the door of the apartment that was damaged and owned by the landlord. In return, all remaining charges (including three vandalism counts and a misdemeanor domestic violence charge) would be dismissed.

50 Cent isn’t out of the woods yet, however! He was sentenced to three years probation and 30 days of community service. He also has to pay $7,100 in restitution and $2,390 in fines.
