The ongoing custody dispute between DDG and Halle Bailey has taken another turn. In May, Bailey obtained a restraining order against DDG, accusing him of physically assaulting her in January during a custody exchange involving their son, Halo. She claimed the incident left her with bruises and a chipped tooth, allegations DDG denies.
Following that, the streamer filed an emergency motion to block Bailey from taking Halo overseas to film a movie. He also sought a restraining order of his own. Though the court granted his request, Bailey currently retains temporary sole physical and legal custody of their child.
Now, according to Billboard, DDG is seeking permission to visit Halo in Italy later this month, proposing that the visit be supervised by his mother, Tonya-Yvette Granberry. However, Bailey’s attorney, Jeremy Lane, objected, stating that Granberry has a history of “enabling” DDG’s alleged abusive behavior. He said he’d support the visit only if it were monitored by a professional.
The judge agreed that the request was “reasonable,” but also required that a professional monitor be present. If the visits proceed, DDG would also be prohibited from posting about Halo on social media during the trip.
Both legal teams are now working to determine the availability of professional monitors in Rome. A follow-up court date is scheduled for June 26th to continue discussions.
