Marcus Morris Sr., a 13-year NBA veteran, has been arrested on a fraud charge in Broward County, Florida, according to booking records. TMZ confirmed the news, sharing his mugshot where the forward appears emotionless, staring straight into the camera.
Morris, who played college ball at the University of Kansas, entered the league in 2011 as the 14th overall pick by the Houston Rockets. Over his career, he’s played for multiple teams including the Suns, Pistons, Celtics, Knicks, Clippers, Cavaliers, and 76ers. He averaged 12 points and 4.4 rebounds across 832 games.
This isn’t his first brush with the law. He previously entered a diversion program for a 2012 battery case and was acquitted in a 2015 assault trial.
Law enforcement has not released additional details on the fraud charge.
