Cardi B is not here for the nasty opinions about her body.
In a video taken weeks ago during her “Am I the Drama” press run, Cardi is seen smiling and glowing in a body-hugging romper. But instead of celebrating the Bronx native’s big moment, some users took it as an opportunity to target her appearance. One user reposted the video with a shady caption: “Can we please tell her the truth?”
The post opened the floodgates for body-shaming comments aimed at Cardi, with many picking apart her figure. But the Grammy-winning artist didn’t let it slide.
Cardi responded directly, saying, “You don’t gotta tell me the truth…I gained 27 pounds, third trimester, hips and a** spread it.”
She went on to question whether she’s supposed to hide in sweats until she gives birth, calling out how people criticize her every time she’s pregnant, only to praise her again once she snaps back.
The “WAP” rapper wrapped up her clapback with a message loud and clear: “LET ME EAT CAKE IN PEACE!!!”
Cardi is a mother of three and is currently pregnant with her fourth child.
