Kandi Burruss is taking her divorce battle to the next level by using footage from her own Bravo reality special as legal proof.
According to Us Weekly, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum is clapping back at Todd Tucker’s claims that he was blindsided by their 2014 prenuptial agreement. In new court filings, Burruss insists that Tucker not only had a lawyer during the process, but that the entire prenup discussion was caught on camera and aired for millions to see on “Kandi’s Wedding.”
Her legal team pointed out that both parties consented to filming and that Tucker was heard in one scene telling Kandi he was “good to sign” after speaking to his attorney both on and off camera.
This comes after Tucker alleged that Burruss presented him with the final prenup draft right before the ceremony, without giving his legal team a heads-up. He also requested alimony and primary custody of their two kids, citing Burruss’ demanding work schedule.
But Kandi’s new filing flips that narrative. She’s now asking for primary custody, arguing that both she and Tucker have traveled for work throughout their relationship and that she’s always paid for childcare. She also highlighted their strong family support system living nearby.
The couple tied the knot in April 2014 and officially separated on July 15, 2025.
