Things just got serious in the divorce between Todd Tucker and Kandi Burruss. The longtime couple is now facing off in court, and Todd is making it clear; he wants primary custody of their children.
According to Us Weekly, in newly filed court documents dated November 26, Todd states that their two kids, Ace (born in 2016) and Blaze (born in 2019), are currently living with him in Georgia while Kandi is tied up with “out-of-state work obligations.”
He claims those obligations “will continue to require her to be away from the children for at least the next several months,” and he’s now asking the court to grant him primary physical custody, joint legal custody, and final decision-making authority. But he adds that Kandi should still have “substantial time and meaningful access to the children.”
Todd’s attorney praised Kandi’s parenting, noting, “[Tucker] wishes to make clear that he recognizes [Burruss] as a loving and capable parent and remains sincerely hopeful that prior and continued discussions between the parties will bring full resolution of all matters.”
Todd also took aim at the couple’s prenuptial agreement, saying he was pressured to sign it without his legal team just before their 2014 wedding. His filing claims the circumstances “raise substantial questions concerning the enforceability of said document.” Still, he insists he wants things resolved “amicably and privately.”
Meanwhile, Kandi’s filing on November 21 described their marriage as “irretrievably broken” and asked for joint custody while requesting that the prenup be upheld.
