Ty Lawson was arrested over the weekend on misdemeanor charges of harassment & criminal mischief. Now a few more details surrounding the incident have become available. To update you, Ty Lawson was not the only person arrested. His girlfriend, former Bad Girls Club star, Ashley Nicole Pettiford was also arrested. Lawson was booked on harassment, property damage. The event took place at Lawson’s home near East Iliff Avenue and South Wabash Street and appears to have involved yelling and screaming and damaging of cellphones.
Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson says that the conflict “was a mutual situation” and as a result both parties were arrested. Ty was arrested on investigation of domestic violence-related harassment and property damage while Ashley was arrested on investigation of domestic violence-related property damage, according to court records. Due to the domestic violence accusations, both parties had to remain in jail until a judge saw them Monday. Both were released on $1000 bond.
It looks to me like a regular lovers quarrel over jealousy is to blame and not so much that he physically harmed her. Either way, here is the couple in happier times.
