The Stage 5 Clingers ruined it for us all.
I don’t know if its ego, experiences, or a combination of both, but something is the root for us self-sabotaging our no-strings attached sex lives.
Men and women are both guilty of this. You could be having GREAT, string-less, commitment-less, sex with someone with no problems. Then something kicks in. We’ll, call it ego. And that ego puts the following thought in your head:
“You know what, my sex is so awesome and glorious, that I KNOW they want to be with me. Even though they showed no signs of getting in their feelings, Im just going to tell myself that they want me so bad. Man, they’re on my jock so I have to back up and stop giving them the juice so they wont fall in love any more!”
…Whet?!
Why would you look for a problem to prevent you from getting good sex? See, thats exactly why egos need to stay in check. You are talking yourself into thinking that you and your sex are so good that someone HAS to want to be with you. And in reality, you both want the same thing! Just the sex!
Meanwhile, the person you’re curving is thinking, “Why did they cut off that good sex?! Weird”. Now both of you are high and dry because you want to assume. Sad.
I’ve definitely been a victim of loosing someone fun because they assumed since I’m a woman, I’ll fall madly in love. False! Some women can live in reality, believe it or not.
