Recently Stephen A. Smith went off on Glen Robinson. On a recent episode of Sirius XM’s Karen Hunter Show, Smith revealed that he and Glen Robinson have one thing in common — they hate each other.Â
“I despise him and he despises me,” said Smith. He pretty much went on to call Robinson a New Black, saying that Robinson always talked about being pro-black, yet treated the only black coach he ever played under horribly. “I saw this man march lock step with what (former Bucks Coach) George Karl wanted to do … but Randy Ayers becomes the head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers … you treated this man like trash, but you’ll come and talk to reporters about how brothers need to facilitate brothers being hired, but you had one and how’d you treat him?”
Glen Robinson tells TMZ Sports that Stephen A. Smith is full of it. He says the real reason Smith despises him is because they exchanged words in Denver after Smith wrote a bad article after him. “It almost got physical,” said Robinson. “We know what the outcome would’ve been if things got physical.”
“I don’t want the brotha to despise me for another 12 years so if he really wants to, I mean, we can set something up. We can take it to the cage, let’s get it off your chest, my brotha.”
I doubt Stephen A. Smith will take Glen Robinson up on his offer but it would be funny.Â
