Would you take a trip to China, Germany, or Brazil to watch your favorite football team play? That may soon be a possibility, as sources say that the NFL is now considering playing regular season games in those three countries over the next couple of years. During a meeting between the NFL owners on Monday, they discussed ways to expand the sport around the world, with specific interest in moving games to China, Germany, and Brazil.

The NFL has already established a strong presence in London over the last decade. Since the 2007 season, at least one game per year has been played in Wembley Stadium as part of the NFL International Series. This upcoming season, there will be 3 games played in London again, as has been the case for the past couple of years. The NFL will also be expanding to Mexico, where they have played once before, with the Houston Texans scheduled to play the Oakland Raiders in Mexico City this November. In the past, regular season and exhibition games have taken place in the UK, Australia, Mexico, and Japan.

If all goes as planned, an NFL game could be played in Germany as early as 2017 and in China as early as 2018.
