After having to cancel his rally in Chicago due to an overwhelming opposition to his racist movement, then nearly being dragged off stage by a lone protester wearing a J. Cole “Dreamville” t-shirt, Donald Trump thinks it’s time to do something about the people who aren’t in support of his movement.
At his rally in Kansas City Saturday, Trump said that he would like charges pressed on protesters who interrupt his rallies. “I’m going to ask that you arrest them,” Trump said to the police, according to CNN. “I’ll file whatever charges you want. If they want to do this … we’re going to go strongly for your arrests.”
Violence and hate have been an underlying theme at Trump rallies for months. From elderly black men being beaten, to women and children being forcibly thrown out of Trump rallies simply for being there. We’ve seen Mexican-Americans be spit at, and just last week a black man getting sucker punched in the face, until now Trump has never spoken against the actions of his followers.
In fact, Trump has justified the sucker punch and is considering paying the legal fees for John McGraw, the man charged with assaulting the black man at the rally in North Carolina.
“That young man was very taunting, very loud, very disruptive. From what I understand, he was sticking a certain finger in the air,” said Trump. “The man got carried away. He’s 78-years old, he obviously loves this country. I’ve actually instructed my people to look into [paying for his legal fees].”
