Von Miller: Super Bowl 50 MVP or Chicken Farmer – blogged by: @proudlylauren

Super Bowl 50 MVP, Von Miller, talked about his dreams of being a chicken farmer in an interview with USA Today back in 2013, and is getting closer to that dream with his pet chickens. Yes, chickens plural.

In an interview on ESPN’s Mike & Mike this past Thursday, Miller talked about how his love of chickens began from a basic meat production class at Texas A&M. He liked that class and decided to take another, which helped him decide for sure that chicken farming was what he wanted to do, adding “It’s a multi-billion-dollar industry, and it was just something I could see myself doing. I finished that out and here I am today I’m a chicken farmer”.

Miller, who has a tattoo of a drumstick, is now a free agent and is waiting to get picked up by another team which will definitely happen with his performance this year. After he gets picked up, Miller has decided he is going to go commercial with his chicken farm, equipping them with live feeds and chickens.

Until then, Miller will continue to raise the 20-35 chickens he currently has and says they aren’t really for eating. Unlike his commercial dreams, these chickens are more like his pets which he affectionately calls “my guys”. Chicken farmer, or Super Bowl 50 MVP, Miller has proven his success on and off the field, so kudos to his new venture .
