Blac Chyna Confirms She is Pursuing a Rap Career and She is Serious About It!

Blac Chyna is looking to make a shift in her already successful career, which includes her Lashed cosmetics line and her stint on reality tv. The video vixen-turned-Nicki Minaj body double is now looking to break into the music business as a rapper.

Just last week, a clip of a Mally Mall-produced track leaked online with Chyna vocals flowing over the beat. Since then, Chyna has confirmed that she is serious about pursuing a rap career.

“What even made me start to think about this venture is like, hey, I’m already in the industry and I done kinda reached the highest of the things I was doing,” Chyna told XXL Magazine. “I’m an entrepreneur, I have a shop, I have Lashed, I have 88 Fin, I done did the TV scene. I done did all that so it’s like, hey, Chyna, what’s your next big thing?”

“I told myself it’s either two ways you could go with this. You either go music or you could go acting. And I’m like, uh, music. Hello! I’m already around it and most of the people I already know them anyway, so, it should be really easy for me. I feel like if I do need help or if I need mentoring I could call my friends like French [Montana] and Nicki [Minaj] or just whoever for advice and whatnot. I felt like it’s the right way to go.”

Although Chyna refuses to spill the beans on the big-name artists and producers she’s been working with, she does say she’s been in the booth a lot and she’s serious about it.

“I want to make music that reflects me and what’s going on at that present time,” Chyna revealed. “You know, it’s kinda like a movie how I’m looking at it. So, if this is happening right now I want to speak on it right then and there, you know. But at the same time, I still want it to be timeless to whereas though, not like telling my whole business, but if I’m going through something the same person is probably going through the same thing. So, I want them to feel like, ‘Damn if she’s going through this and I’m going through this it’s not that bad.”

As for officially releasing music, Chyna is still aiming to release something this year with hopes of securing a collab with some of her favorite artists in the future. But until then, she will have to choose between a record label or going independent.

“My fears going into this are for people not to take me serious,” she told the publication. “Of course people are gonna talk – good, bad, whatnot. I would just like to say to anybody that is for or against [my rap career], just keep an open eye, an open heart, and an open ear.”
