Christine Chisolm, the star of the infamous viral video “Is This Yo Thot” posted by 2 Chainz in 2014, previously announced that she plans to sue the rapper for $5 million. She even did a television interview about it after 2 Chainz addressed it in his song “Watch Out.” Christine is now attempting to use 2 Chainz lyrics against him, saying that he’s trying to have her killed.
In newly filed court docs Christine, who over the summer said she was representing herself in court, said that 2 Chainz visited her hometown of Charlotte to get intel on her. She also said that while out for a run, a black Mercedes followed her, caught up to her and hit her. She was left with an injured arm. She insists that this has to be 2 Chainz because in his song “Watch Out” the rapper says, “Shawty said she want 5 million, cause I told her to leave and call her a thot … We waving that thing at your body, we waving that thing at your eye.”
Chisholm wants $5 million in damages because after the video of 2 Chainz went viral, she lost her barbershop job. She’s also mentioned that the video has made it extremely hard on her love life.
Many fans have voiced their own opinion on the lawsuit, insisting that since Chisolm not only knew she was being recorded, but voluntarily gave up her Instagram name, she should not be compensated. It should also be noted that she had been asked multiple times by 2 Chainz to leave the backstage area she was in.
