Court Clerk Who Asked Meek Mill For Money During His Probation Hearing Has Been Fired

The court clerk who asked Meek Mill for money for her son’s tuition has been fired, TMZ reports.

The incident occurred during Meek’s probation violation hearing. Wanda Chavarria reportedly slipped the rapper a note, asking him to help her fund her son’s college education.

In the letter, Chavarria claimed her credit was so bad that she would not be able to “secure a loan or co-sign a loan” for her son. Since the rapper is a Philly native, she believed he’d be inclined to help her out. However, things backfired when word got out about the note.

At the time, Chavarria was serving as a clerk for Judge Genece Brinkley, who is facing heat for sentencing Meek to 2 to 4 years in prison for violating probation. Although Chavarria claims Brinkley had no idea about the note, according to TMZ, Meek’s lawyers say the clerk asked out loud in earshot of the judge. However, it remains unclear if Meek’s sentence will be reviewed based on Chavarria’s inappropriate behavior.
