Amid the widespread success of Donald Glover’s ‘Atlanta,’ the actor, writer and director may be transitioning to biographical work.
In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, Quincy Jones revealed that he hopes Glover, better known as Childish Gambino, would play him in a 10-part TV biopic.
“We’re doing ten movies, six albums, four Broadway shows, two networks, business with the president of China, intellectual property. It’s unbelievable man,” Jones said of his workload ahead of his 85th birthday. However, that is not the only thing Jones is working on.
To highlight his legendary career, from his work with Michael Jackson to Frank Sinatra, Jones is looking to release a documentary on Netflix, a CBS special hosted by Oprah Winfrey, and a 10-part TV biopic, which he would like Glover to star in, Hot New Hip Hop reports.

Despite Jones’ wants and wishes though, the Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and rapper already has a lot on his plate this year. From his new music to his new season of ‘Atlanta,’ as well as his appearance on the new ‘Star Wars,’ Glover may be booked and too busy.

Although, it’s not every day that a legend handpicks you to play them in their biopic, no official statement has been released about the biopic. Further details remain unclear.
