Josh Gordon, former first-team all-pro wide receiver, finally got reinstated into the NFL Monday after a year long suspension. While this is awesome news, there is still one condition; Josh Gordon must sit the first 4 games of the 2016 season.

If you recall, trouble started back in 2013 during Josh Gordon’s breakout year, when he was suspended the first two games for substance abuse. In 2014 he was suspended again for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy and in 2015 he was suspended for an entire season after testing positive for alcohol use.

Today, however, things took a turn for the better when the wide receiver was finally reinstated for the ’16 season.

In a letter, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell addressed the 25 year old athlete, telling him “I have every belief you can make the right choices, but it will be up to you to do so.”

According to the Cleveland Browns EVP of Football Operations, Sashi Brown, Josh Gordon will return to the Browns for the start of training camp which at that time it will be determined how he should move forward with the time. If he moves forward as a member of the Browns organization, Gordon’s return game will be on October 9th against the Patriots; coincidentally the same day as Tom Brady’s return after his deflategate suspension.

For now, let’s just pray Gordon stays out of trouble and finally gets a chance to play.
