Former “The Parkers” star Countess Vaughn has been granted a temporary protective order against her longtime boyfriend over allegations of abuse.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Vaughn claims she was a victim of physical, verbal and emotional abuse at the hands of her boyfriend, David, throughout their 10 year relationship. She alleges that he slapped, struck and strangled her, and that most recently he threw bleach in her face. In the filing, she says he was insecure about her acting career and took out his frustration on her.
Vaughn also claims in the documents that he threatened her on multiple occasions, including threats to kill her. She says she fears for her safety and that of her family.
A Los Angeles judge signed off on the order, which requires David to stay 100 yards away from Vaughn until a hearing next month. These are allegations made in court filings, and no findings have been made. A response from David was not included in the TMZ report.
