Now, John William Jenkins Jr. is facing charges of criminal homicide for the reckless move that led to the death of Fox.
The two were seen together one night before the incident. While it hasn’t been confirmed, CBS reports that according to court documents, Jenkins claims he cut the lines to make a crack pipe for Fox. Jenkins allegedly told authorities that Fox was “driving [him] crazy” looking for a crack pipe. Jenkins reportedly went on to say that while he knew nothing about cars, he went ahead and “hacked away” at anything underneath the vehicle.
While Jenkins maintains that the incident was an innocent mistake, a close friend of Fox has a different view. ⠀⠀⠀
“I just never bought that it was just an accident. I knew it in my heart, and I just want justice for her. I really do,” Lisa Vargas said.
