A TikToker claims a DoorDash driver tried to get her address even though she never placed an order.

From leaving notes in bags of food to now allegedly asking customers for the address to their home, DoorDash is making headlines again after a driver allegedly tried to reach a customer. According to a report Daily Dot, a DoorDash driver named Edward allegedly attempted to get the address of a customer he’d delivered to previously. The entire ordeal happened in June, and TikToker Sydney Span documented it.

“Stay safe because the weirdest thing just happened to me,” Span said in a TikTok that was posted on Aug. 7. Span went on to say that the driver claimed he “forgot her drink” in an attempt to contact her via the app.

“That’s odd because, first of all, I didn’t order anything,” she says. “If you were really doing my order, wouldn’t you have my address?”

Span then escalated the matter to DoorDash’s customer support team, who told her they didn’t recognize Edward and that he’d “only ever done” orders for her. ‘Don’t answer that text. Don’t answer your door,” she says the customer support representative told her.

In another TikTok, Span says DoorDash told her there were only records of him delivering food to her and that she isn’t sure how the man could have possibly contacted her. The woman confirmed that she is safe, adding that she will be getting “security stuff” for other reasons.

DoorDash has previously released a statement regarding a similar event that happened in 2019. “At DoorDash, we take the safety of our community extremely seriously, and we do not tolerate any form of harassment or inappropriate behavior,” a spokesperson said in a 2019 statement to Daily Dot.
